The practice of these movements with your instructor is the only way that the karate student will be able to perform these techniques to the required standard. It is also important that the defender uses the first two attacks to gauge the distance of their opponent’s strikes.
On the third attack, the defender must not show their counter attack too quickly, so they must keep facing their opponent until the last moment before executing their own attack.
